A Walk in the Park

Pro Tip: Surround yourself with good people. I met Keith Matthews in 2013 via a church group, and he's been a dear friend to me ever since. (So dear that he went along with this walk despite the mid-90s temperature.) He's insightful and patient, with a heart for helping others and and a mind for studying what he's passionate about. He's also quite the Star Wars fan, but I'm ok with that.

Anyway, I've been carrying around the D5 à la kid-after-Christmas—checking out new functions, pushing the limits of new possibilities with settings, and, of course, fawning over the resulting images like I've discovered fire with each frame.  I love the "getting to know you" phase of things, and I'm crazy grateful I've gotten to know Keith over the years.

Props to him for going along with my posing directions mid-stroll, what with it being firecracker-hot and a little bug-bitey.
